Resident Evil: Extinction #1 at the Box Office
The third installment of the Resident Evil series banked $9.2 million at the box office on its opening night Friday.
Some of the week-end competition was "Good Luck Chuck" which made $4.9 million, "The Brave One" which made $2.2 million, and Russian Mafia Drama "Eastern Promises", taking $1.8 million for 4th place. Click here to read more

Resident Evil 4?
The IESB is at the Resident Evil: Extinction junket in Las Vegas this week and had the chance to speak with the Resident Hero (pun intended) Ali Larter. While talking to Larter, she confirmed rumblings that there has been talk of a spin-off from the Resident Evil franchise with her character as the lead. That character, Claire Redfield, is one of the original heroines in the video game Resident Evil universe who went in search of her brother Chris, the lead in the original game. Larter says that it will all depend on how the film opens.
